Join our team as a Behavior Support Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, and behavioral challenges to achieve greater independence and an improved quality of life.

Working alongside experienced Behavior Analysts and a collaborative care team, you'll build meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact on the lives of those you support.

What You'll Do

  • Provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene as needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding while following dietary needs, preferences, and safety guidelines.
  • Administer medications and provide first aid in accordance with healthcare instructions and company policies.
  • Implement individualized behavior support strategies developed by the Behavior Analyst.
  • Encourage independence, communication, social development, and positive life skills.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that promotes dignity and well-being.
  • Accurately document services, behavioral observations, and progress while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, families, and other team members to monitor progress and support treatment goals.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations using evidence-based behavior management techniques.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, behavioral challenges, caregiving, healthcare, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in childcare or human services is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and professional in a variety of situations.
  • Dependable, organized, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
  • A genuine desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
